Houssem Aouar hopeful to fully recover for Empoli clash

Roma midfielder Houssem Aouar is hoping to be available for Roma-Empoli.

The Algerian player was forced to abandon the pitch in the match against Milan as he suffered a minor muscle injury.

The injury caused Aouar to miss Algeria’s international engagements and made him stay at Trigoria to continue his recovery.

According to Sky Sport, Aouar – similarly to Renato Sanches – is showing positive signs ahead of Roma’s first match after the international break.

Aouar is expected to return to group training this coming week before being reintegrated back into Jose Mourinho’s starting line-up.
