Several British sides are circling around Neco Williams at the moment with the right-back attracting the interest of teams in the Premier League and the Sky Bet Championship.
The young defender is representing Wales at this summer’s European Championships and that experience could be really good for him in terms of his development.
However, there’s a considerable chance that his next steps in his career could be away from Liverpool, at least that is what those sides that are linked with him are hoping.
This comes from Ian Doyle for the Liverpool Echo:
ANFIELD WATCH VERDICT
Interestingly, there have been contrasting reports to suggest that Liverpool are not willing to let the defender go this summer as he is the main back-up for Trent Alexander-Arnold down the right-hand side of defence.
Indeed, that in mind, these clubs might well find it hard to sign him but, of course, you would probably say Williams falls into the bracket of being available for the right price.
It remains to be seen, too, if a loan deal would be sanctioned to help his development and whether that would change any of these teams’ stances but, right now, we’ll just have to wait.
