Adi Hütter was absent from his usual pre-match media duties, and from training, due to illness on Wednesday. It comes ahead of AS Monaco’s match against Stade de Reims on Friday.
Folarin Balogun, Aleksandr Golovin, Soungoutou Magassa and Jordan Teze were all absent from first-team training, attended by Get French Football News, on Wednesday. Those four absences were expected with all expected to miss several more weeks of competition.
One absence was not anticipated, that of first-team manager Adi Hütter. The Austrian has been suffering from illness and missed the morning session and did not undertake his media duties. Instead, it was his assistant, Christian Peintinger, who spoke to the press, providing an update about his stricken colleague.
“I called him today and he is getting better and better and I hope that he will take the training session tomorrow,” said Peintinger. The hope is that Hütter will have sufficiently recovered to take his place on the sidelines when Monaco look to return to winning ways against Reims at the Stade Louis II on Friday night.
