Bild report that David Beckham’s MLS side Inter Miami are extremely interested in signing 31-year-old Holger Badstuber from Stuttgart this summer.

The former Bayern Munich central defender has made over 150 Bundesliga appearances in his career but in recent times has fallen out of favour at Stuttgart due to extensive injuries.

Just in the last week, the former German international has been moved down to Stuttgart’s reserve side who currently play in the fourth tier of German football.

Badstuber still has a contract at Stuttgart until the summer of 2021 but all sides seem keen for a deal to materialise.

The central defender eluded to a potential move in an interview with SportBild last week:”If the VfB chapter comes to an end for me at some point, I would like to have the experience abroad.”
