Foot Mercato report this afternoon that Bundesliga side Hoffenheim have submitted an offer for Strasbourg centre-back Alexander Djiku.
The Ghanaian international defender has been the subject of interest from across Europe this summer after an impressive season with the Alsatians.
L’Équipe have previously reported that, with Strasbourg giving him the green light for a move, Sevilla and Rennes were interested, and that the defender himself was favouring a move that would see him remain in Ligue 1.
The 27-year-old has been one of the club’s best performers as Julien Stéphan guided the team to a 6th-place finish. Djiku appeared in 31 games during the league season and chipped in with one goal as well.
He has just under a century of appearances with Strasbourg, having initially joined from Caen in 2019, when he left the Normandy club two years after his arrival from Bastia. The Montpellier native has been a full international since 2020, and was recently named Ghana’s player of the year.
