It’s been a crazy round of Frauen Bundesliga action on Sunday with some drama in Hoffenheim vs. Wolfsburg and Frankfurt vs. Bayern Munich.

The latest result sees Frankfurt topple league leaders Bayern Munich after a 3-2 win.

Despite being 0-0 at half-time, the second half was full of drama with all five goals being scored after the 67-minute mark.

Bayern held a 2-1 lead until late in the game when goals in the 88th and 90th-minute stunned the current champions.

The result means Frankfurt have snapped Bayern’s perfect record.

Earlier today, Hoffenheim made a statement in the Frauen Bundesliga after pulling off a historic 2-1 win over Wolfsburg.

Nicole Billa opened the scoring for the hosts before Jill Roord hit back to equalise.

Eventually, an own-goal from Lena Oberdorf handed Hoffenheim all three points.

The result means it is the first time since 2017 that Wolfsburg have lost in the Bundesliga against a team not named Bayern Munich.

And to make it even better for Hoffenheim, Sunday’s victory is the first time they’ve earned points against Wolfsburg in eight years.

The result is a massive one for both home teams.

Looking at the standings, Bayern, Leverkusen and Frankfurt are tied on 15 points. Wolfsburg and Hoffenheim are tied right below with 13.
