Napoli coach Luciano Spalletti says an accident at home left him needing crutches and an arm sling for today's Champions League presser.
With little warning, Spalletti hobbled into the press room on crutches to discuss tomorrow night's clash with Liverpool.
He explained, "I had an accident on Sunday morning while I was coming to the centre for (Salvatore) Sirigu and (Diego) Demme. A fracture of the collarbone was found, then through the doctors we got in touch with our reference Castagna, in Milan. They were very kind. 7 hours of travel, at 4 they waited for me, they made further checks, at 11 they found a space to operate, I went out at 3 and discharged me at 7.
"Through a friend I returned to Castel Volturno tonight, everything is ok, I only skipped yesterday's training, but I have my captain here to support me (laughs).
"I also thank the Castel Volturno mole who spread the news, there are some in every centre and there is here too! It is those who live for these things here otherwise they have no space in the newspapers.
"You will see me like this for a long time, I will have to wear it for a month, they put a plaque and seven screws in me."
On facing Liverpool, Spalletti also said: "The differences are substantial, when you do everything to perfection they take the game out of the hat and put you in difficulty, you have to always be turned on to the maximum. Even when the ball is out of the field, that ball can go anywhere. You have to anticipate every action.
"We said that we did not know the reaction of the team after the empty game with Lecce, but they showed it to us and therefore these players will make Maradona (stadium) fall in love again because they train well and have an unbridled passion for the game and for the players.
"I am convinced that they will have a great game."
