Highly-rated HJK Helsinki forward Lotta Lindström has joined Barclays Women’s Championship club London City Lionesses.

WSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from The Pride this morning.

Lindström is one of the most exciting young players in the Finnish game. The teenager netted 17 goals in just 23 outings in the Finnish Kansallinen Liiga in 2023.

On the international stage, Lindström has been a regular in Finland’s Under-19 side. She was handed her senior debut for her country in their 2-2 draw with Slovakia before Christmas.

After completing her move to London City Lionesses, Lindström said “When the chance to join London City presented itself, it felt like an opportunity that I needed to take. I admire the Club’s plans for the future, I am very excited to be a part of those plans, and I believe that this is a very good environment for me to develop as a player.

“I am very motivated to win and score goals. I know that this new league will be a challenge for me, but I trust that I can adapt to it quickly and help the team to win.”

Lindström is London City Lionesses’ second signing on January’s Transfer Deadline Day.
