Taking centre stage in this week's instalment of Historic Goals is Ronaldo. The frontman checked in at Real Madrid from Inter Milan after topping the scoring charts at the 2002 World Cup. Regarded as one of the best forwards in the history of the game, the Brazilian's biggest qualities were his power, pace and goalscoring instinct.

Real Madrid hosted Athletic Club on Matchday 13 of the 2006/07 LaLiga campaign. The Brazilian struck to begin the comeback against the Bilbao-based outfit and the strike proved to be his last LaLiga goal in Real Madrid colours. Sergio Ramos launched a ball over the visitors' defence that Ronaldo latched onto and he controlled the ball with the outside of his boot, before side-footing home a right-footed finish. Real Madrid went on to claim a 2-1 win. Ronaldo made 177 appearances across his five-season stint at Real Madrid and netted 104 goals. The striker claimed four trophies: an Intercontinental Cup, two LaLiga titles and a Spanish Super Cup.
