The star of this week's instalment of Historic Goals is Emilio Butragueño. The forward made his way into the first team after producing a string of impressive displays with Castilla. Pace, quick feet and all-round raw talent were just some of the attributes Butragueño was blessed with, leading to him forming part of the famous Quinta del Buitre.

In the 85/86 campaign, Real Madrid welcomed Sevilla to the Santiago Bernabéu on matchday 26. Today's goal was the forward's second in that encounter, which served to clinch a 2-1 victory for our team. Following a beautiful cross to the back stick, Butragueño unleashed a fierce volley which ripped into the back of the net. Emilio Butragueño played for Real Madrid for 12 seasons, making 463 appearances and scoring 171 goals. He also lifted 15 trophies during his time at the club: 2 UEFA Cups, 6 LaLiga titles, 2 Copa del Rey, 4 Spanish Super Cups and 1 Copa de la Liga.
