Luke Shaw backs Manchester United teammate Jadon Sancho to come good for the club soon

Speaking to talkSPORT (h/t Metro), Luke Shaw has backed his Manchester United and England teammate Jadon Sancho to make it big at the club soon.

The Manchester City academy graduate made the move from Borussia Dortmund to Old Trafford earlier this summer in a big-money move worth £73million. However, ever since he completed his move, United have not received their dividends from the investment.

The Englishman made his debut against Leeds United on the opening day of the season, and also earned his first start a couple of weeks later against Wolves. However, lady luck has evaded the youngster till now as he is yet to contribute to a goal this season.

Regardless, he has put in quite a few encouraging performances in the past couple of weeks. Luke Shaw, who plays with the 21-year-old for club and country, has now backed the winger to be amongst the goals soon. The full-back told talkSPORT (h/t Metro):

‘Sometimes, for people, it takes time. But I wouldn’t say he’s (Sancho) struggling at the moment. He’s working extremely hard behind closed doors and training really well and looking really sharp. He just hasn’t had that bit of luck that sometimes you need for your first goal or first assist. ‘But I’ve got no doubt in my mind, it’s coming. The talent he has is unbelievable, he can go right to the very top. It’s just about him staying focused, keep doing what he’s doing in training, and working hard. His time will come.’

Sancho scored 50 goals and provided a ridiculous 64 assists in 137 appearances for Dortmund in his four seasons at the Signal Iduna Park outfit.

Thus, the talent is certainly there, and it might only be a matter of time before he shines under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in the theatre of dreams.
