It is well documented that former Manchester City striker Mario Balotelli is an eccentric character on and off the pitch. His antics often caused rifts between the Italian, his managers and coaches, and even his neighbours, as stated by his former teammate Sergio Aguero.
When questioned on Balotelli’s antics at Manchester City during a live Twitch stream with Ibai Llanos, the Argentine forward had this to say:
“Balotelli scored (vs Manchester United) and I said to him, ‘what do you mean, why always you?’ You parked a car on the curb of the Louis Vuitton store? His neighbour complained, and he tried to burn their house by firing rockets through a window, and failed…”
He continued, “I got all the s**t that was made public about Balotelli and I gave it to him. Look why always you, and he said, ‘All that is a lie. With me, it’s all very well. It’s not like the people believe,’ he said.”
The Italian forward now plays in the second division of Italian Football for A.C. Monza – quite a fall from grace considering nine years ago he was part of a Premier League title-winning side and assisted the crucial league-winning goal in the 93rd minute.
During the same stream, Aguero also commented on his future at Manchester City, reassuring fans that he is yet to make a decision on his future – with the club still holding back on whether to hand him the option of signing an extension.
