Bristol City defender Chloe Mustaki will miss the remainder of the season after recently sustaining a hip injury.

The Robins announced the news via a post on their official club website this afternoon.

Mustaki has made six appearances for Bristol City in the Barclays Women’s Super League this season. Her last outing came in The Robins’ 3-2 defeat to Brighton & Hove Albion at Broadfield Stadium in January. The player has been struggling with a hip injury in the two months since that match and it has now been determined that she will play no further part in the final weeks of the season.

Commenting on the news, Mustaki said “I’m extremely disappointed to not be able to feature again this season but the support from everyone at the club, as well as the fans, has been a big help in recent weeks.”

Mustaki joined Bristol City from SSE Airtricity League of Ireland Women’s Premier Division club Shelbourne in summer 2022. The move handed the player the opportunity to play full-time professional football after proving her fitness following an Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) injury. Mustaki was a Barclays Women’s Championship title-winner with The Robins last season.

The player will now continue her rehabilitation as she looks to rebuild her fitness ahead of next season.
