A highly-thought of member of the academy ranks at La Liga giants Real Madrid has this week secured a permanent departure from the club.
That’s according to Relevo, who point towards Dani Pérez as the player in question.
For those not familiar with his name, Pérez is a 17-year-old defender, who generally operates at right-back.
The Spaniard spent this past season lining out for Real Madrid’s U19s, ‘standing out above all for his physical strength’.
The consensus behind the scenes at Valdebebas, however, is that Jesús Fortea, a year younger than Pérez, is the correct profile to develop towards a future first-team berth.
The latter, as a result, has on Friday been granted an exit.
As per a report from the aforementioned Relevo, Pérez has put pen to paper on terms with another of La Liga’s leading sides, in Athletic Club.
The stopper is expected to spend the season ahead on the books of Basconia, Athletic’s 2nd reserve team, who are currently plying their trade in the 3rd RFEF.
