Black has assumed the position of Academy Lead Scout at his new club, leaving a void in Arsenal’s talent identification ranks.

During his tenure at the Emirates Stadium, Eddie Black played an instrumental role in unearthing promising talents for Arsenal and his expertise in identifying and nurturing emerging players was a valuable asset to the Gunners.

Black’s departure marks a loss for Arsenal but signals a new chapter for Newcastle United’s scouting department.

Newcastle’s revamped scouting and recruitment strategy

Newcastle United’s Sporting Director, Dan Ashworth, has been actively working on bolstering the club’s recruitment staff.

The addition of Eddie Black is part of a larger initiative to strengthen Newcastle’s scouting network.

The club plans to announce several more scouting and recruitment positions, including the appointment of seven international scouts across Europe, a Head of Emerging Talent, and a Recruitment Operations Manager.
