Morocco’s local squad's preparing for high stakes semifinal against Senegal in the African Nations Championship CHAN with coach Tarik Sektioui emphasizing respect for their opponents while asserting the team’s ambition.

Speaking to "Al Riyadiya" channel, Sektioui said:

"We hold Senegal in high regard but we don't fear them. After all the hard work & demanding travels, we cannot allow our ambitions to stop here"

"From the start, our goal has been the trophy. We're on the right track and aim to maintain the humility that marked our previous games" he added.

"We hope to reach the final & replicate our past successes. Morocco has won this tournament twice while Senegal're the defending champions making this major showdown"

The Moroccan local team will face Senegal on Tuesday 26 August 2025 at Mandela National Stadium in Kampala, Uganda.
