A round-up of the latest Tottenham news, including updates on Heung-Min Son, transfer business and Alejo Veliz.
Tottenham are set to be boosted by the return of club captain Heung-Min Son before their clash with Brighton. The star striker has been away on international duty with South Korea for the AFC Asian Cup, but crashed out in the semi-finals to Jordan.
While that has come as a huge blow to Son and his hopes of winning the competition, there will be some silver lining in his early return to Spurs. It remains to be seen whether the forward will be placed straight back into the team though.
His teammates seem more than ready to welcome him back though, with Giovani Lo Celso replying on Instagram: “We are waiting for you my friend.”

Tottenham youngster Alejo Veliz has revealed how a teammate of his helped convince him to make a loan exit in January. The striker left Spurs to join Sevilla for the remainder of the season, with hopes of earning crucial game time towards his development.
The move, it has since been revealed, was pushed by former Sevilla player Bryan Gil. Speaking about the move, Veliz told AS: “I came with Bryan [Gil] a month and a half ago or so and we got to know Seville a little.
“Then we went to his town and Bryan always spoke very highly of the club. Before I came, I talked to him and asked him about everything. He told me to go ahead because everything was a ten.”
