Tottenham Hotspur captain Heung-min Son has responded to the recent title prediction from Manchester City’s Kevin De Bruyne.
Earlier in the month, the City midfielder suggested that Spurs could be considered part of the title race along with Aston Villa.
But the South Korean has hit back at the Belgian following our victory over Brighton & Hove Albion on Saturday at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Following the game on Saturday, Ange Postecoglou’s men find themselves back in the top four with a seven-point gap to the league leaders, Liverpool.
One side which could go top – if they win their game in hand – is Manchester City who will be looking to make it four consecutive titles this season.
And Son has provided his response to the idea that Spurs could be eyeing the title, he said: “Not at all.
“We are doing our best from our position and [what is] expected of us. There are so many contenders. There are so many favourites. Man City, Liverpool is flying now. From our position, we want to give our best and at the end of the season we are where we take it.”

Perhaps we would find ourselves well within the mix for the title had Ange Postecoglou’s options not have been decimated by injuries earlier in the season.
Prior to that game against Chelsea back in November, we were absolutely flying in the league and it didn’t look like we were slowing down anytime soon.
However, that just kickstarted the injury and suspension headache which saw a poor run of results begin from there.
We obviously were then able to get back on track, but realistically, it does feel as if a shot at the title may just be a stretch too far given the relentless nature of Pep Guardiola’s side.
But to even be in the picture in our first season under Postecoglou just goes to show how far we have come in such a short space of time.
Daniel Levy has backed the manager in the two transfer windows since his arrival and everything seems to be on the up in N17.
