Nottingham Forest’s Anthony Elanga feels like they have the players to go to Stamford Bridge and get a result and described Cole Palmer as special and someone to look out for.

Chelsea have made a good start to the season and sit fourth on 13 points, two behind early leaders Liverpool after four wins, a draw and a defeat in their opening six games.

The Blues are the leading scorers in the league so far and with the attacking options at Enzo Maresca’s disposal they will back themselves to cause any defence problems.

Elanga shares thoughts on Cole Palmer

Chelsea host Forest on Sunday and will be looking to record a first win against them at Stamford Bridge since their promotion back to the Premier League two seasons ago.

In the 2022/2023 campaign Forest got a 2-2 draw and last season they recorded a 1-0 win, but victory would see the Blues make it six wins in a row in all competitions heading into the international break.

It won’t be an easy game and Forest have already beaten Liverpool at Anfield this season, but they will have to watch out for Palmer among many others.

Speaking ahead of the game Elanga, who scored the winner last season feels Forest have the players to get a result, but acknowledged they must look out for Palmer.

“We respect Chelsea, they’ve had a good start to their season,” he told BBC Radio Nottingham as cited on X.com.

“Cole Palmer is in really good form and a player I know well from the academy days (in Manchester). He’s special and someone to look out for.

“Hopefully we can go there, just be brave and believe we can go there and win. I fee like we’ve got the players to do so.”

Although Chelsea have added attacking quality this summer with the likes of Joao Felix, Pedro Neto and Jadon Sancho it still very much feels like Palmer is the main man.

Having not featured against Gent on Thursday night Palmer will be fresh for the visit of Forest and you wouldn’t bet against him adding to his goal tally.
