Cole Palmer has named two summer signings who have really impressed him so far, as the Blues look to have another successful season.

Chelsea qualified for the Champions League, and won both the Conference League and Club World Cup in Enzo Maresca’s first season in charge.

Chelsea have added Liam Delap, Joao Pedro and Jamie Gittens to their attack, and they could add Xavi Simons and Alejandro Garnacho before the end of the window.

Despite the new additions Palmer is still very much the jewel in the attacking crown, and Chelsea’s go to man to try and make things happen.

Palmer was exceptional against Paris Saint Germain last month, and looks like he could be back to his best this season.

The England international will be linking up with a number of new attackers, and he’s revealed two signings who’ve impressed him most.

“He’s (Joao Pedro) so good man, I love playing with him,” he told NBC Sports.

Even in training we just have good chemistry and know where each other are going to be.

“It was amazing to see him come in. We knew he was a good player before but to see it in person was really good.”

Delap to give Chelsea something different

Palmer also stated he’s excited to play with Delap, who he knows from his days at the Manchester City academy.

“I just think he’s something different,” Palmer added.

“He’s different to Joao and other strikers I’ve played with. He’s more old-school, he’s aggressive, he’ll run in behind, he’s just a handful for defenders and he’s one of the best finishers I’ve seen as well.

“Hopefully those two together score some goals between them.”

Pedro has arguably impressed most out of the summer signings, and made an instant impact at Club World cup, scoring in both the semi final and final.

Delap also scored his first Chelsea goal at the competition, whilst he also scored twice in the friendly against AC Milan.
