Bent believes that Salah’s body language suggests that he not is not happy at Liverpool Football Club.

Bent added that Salah’s performance levels have declined as each season has gone by at Anfield.

“At the minute, his body language tells me that he’s not happy being there,” Bent told talkSPORT, as cited by HITC. “Regardless of what he comes out and says.

“Since he came out with the Real Madrid stuff, he’s not got the same kind of fire and the determination that he once showed.

“Even if you look at some of his stats. He still gets an awful lot of goals. But he has been on the decline for the last few seasons. He scored a lot of goals that season when he broke pretty much every record.

“Then he 20 after that, then 19 and he’s the top goalscorer in the league now. In terms of goalscoring, he’s been brilliant. But his all-round performance has been poor for a little while now. He gives the ball away. He’s trying too much. Even a simple five-yard pass, he gets that wrong.”

ANFIELD WATCH VERDICT

Bent is entitled to his opinion. The reality is, no one really knows what Salah is thinking except himself.

We hope that Salah wants to remain a Liverpool player for the years to come. The reality is, he is a world-class footballer, which is why we love him.

The Egyptian international has scored 111 goals in 179 appearances. It is difficult to sign footballers who can score goals that freely.

Also, Salah is averaging a WhoScored player rating of 7.20 across the 2020-21 season, which highlights that he is currently performing to a high standard.

When Salah says he wants to depart Anfield, then that is when we will know he no longer wants to be at the club.

For the time being, any noise surrounding his future is nothing more than speculation.

Liverpool’s next clash is against Manchester United in the FA Cup on Sunday night. The fixture will take place at Old Trafford.
