The Robins face a challenge to keep their star man with interest from Everton and Crystal Palace also set to materialise.

Here we ask our FLW writers their verdict on whether the Ghana international is worth the reported £15 million price tag, and if he is ready to take the step up to the Premier League…

George Dagless

It’s certainly worth a punt.

Semenyo is a very talented player and I think he deserves a shot at playing in the Premier League, and seeing what he can do.

I think moving to Bournemouth is a good idea as well as he is likelier to be playing than if he moves to a side going for the very top spots in the table, and that helps both him as a player and the Cherries.

I think the price could prove a snip if he fulfils the potential he has and if Bournemouth come down at the end of the season they also have a player that is very good for the Championship ready to try and fire them back up.

A smart looking addition when all is said and done.

Ned Holmes

Antoine Semenyo is a hugely talented player and would give Scott Parker a different striking option.

He’s got a really bright future and has stepped his game up in recent seasons but would need some patience to adjust to the Premier League.

Marlon Pack?

Yes No

It seems a big fee will be needed to prize him away from City but signing him would surely be a move with the future in mind from the Cherries.

He’s a player that should prove worth the £15 million it seems it might cost in the years to come while you certainly wouldn’t bet against him contributing in the Premier League this season.

I’m not sure he’s ready to be a starter in the top flight just yet but his devastating pace and power, alongside his newfound quality in the final third, could make him a really useful addition to the squad.

Declan Harte

Bournemouth have some solid attacking options so it is unlikely that Semenyo could step right into Scott Parker’s starting lineup.

But for £15 million, this would be a very good deal for the Cherries.

Semenyo has been quite impressive, and has shown his value in attack with his 20 goal contributions in the Championship last season.

His performances have even earned him international recognition with Ghana.

At 22-years old, it would be a very promising signing for the future but Semenyo even has the talent to transition to the top flight over the course of the current campaign to become a very useful player for Parker’s attack.
