Liverpool forward Sadio Mane failed to impress BBC pundit Clinton Morrison at Anfield on Wednesday night.

Mane started for the Reds against Atalanta in the Champions League. Morrison believes that the Senegal international was well off the pace during the match.

Morrison added that he has never seen the winger give the ball away as often as he did against Atalanta.

“Sadio Mane has been well off it. Something’s not right,” Morrison told BBC Radio 5 Live.

“I’ve never seen Sadio Mane give the ball away as much as he has tonight. I’m one of his biggest fans but he’s been really sloppy.”

ANFIELD WATCH VERDICT

Morrison did make some good points. Mane did not have a good game against the Italian side.

Mane’s WhoScored player rating come the end of the match was 5.97 out of 10.

However, we are confident that Mane will bounce back. He has had a pretty good start to the 2020-21 season.

After 13 games, Mane has scored five goals and registered three assists. The aforementioned numbers suggest that Mane just had an off night against Atalanta.

More times than not, Mane has delivered for Liverpool. The winger has scored 86 goals and registered 37 assists in 183 appearances for the Reds.

We expect Mane to be back to his best against Brighton and Hove Albion tomorrow.
