Norwich are in some excellent form, having gone unbeaten in their last five games in all competitions.

With the Canaries dropping back down to the Championship, they’re largely expected to be one of the frontrunners for an instant promotion back to the Premier League.

They’ve lived up to the expectations so far too with some of their showings and it has led to them reaching second in the division as things stand. The club are only bettered by Sheffield United in first place and only a point separates the two teams.

Have Norwich City played at Carrow Road throughout their entire history?

Yes No

They’ll want to keep that fine form going against Bristol City in midweek, although that itself won’t be easy. The Robins may have been near the bottom of the table last time around but they’re currently fourth and a win for them could see them take Norwich’s spot in the automatic promotion spots. Here then, is how the Canaries could lineup for the fixture.

It should be a pretty similar Norwich lineup to the one that saw off Coventry last time around. They sealed an emphatic 3-0 win in that fixture, with several stellar performances to speak about in the Canaries team. One such player who shone was Sam Byram, but he won’t feature in this game. He was subbed off in that game against the Sky Blues and looks like he’ll be sidelined with a thigh injury. Instead, with Norwich unlikely to have many other left-back options, Onel Hernandez might have to step into the breach on the left flank. Alternatively, Ben Gibson or another centre-back may have to be pushed wide.

Marcelino Nunez has come into the starting eleven and has thrived too and has already made that central midfield spot his own. He was excellent against Coventry and alongside Kenny McLean, they should both retain their spots in the centre of the field.

Further forward, Josh Sargent bagged a goal against Coventry to take his tally to five goals and one assist in eight games. He has become a crucial part of the side and will definitely get the nod here, as should Aaron Ramsey who got himself an assist and created more than anybody else on the field against the Sky Blues.

Finally, as the lone striker, Teemu Pukki got his name back on the scoresheet against Mark Robins’ side and has proven he can still bag goals at this level. With Sargent able to fit into the team on the flank – and still produce the goods – the 32-year-old could likely be given the chance to feature as the leading striker again against Bristol City.
