He hadn't scored since the middle of January when he bagged a brace against Venezia while wearing the captain's armband. He had to wait a while - too long by his usual standards - but when it finally arrived, his goal was an absolute stunner. Against Atalanta, Theo Hernández scored an incredible solo goal. A simply sublime run and finish. He picked up the ball in defence and drove to the edge of the opposition penalty area. More than one defender tried to dispossess him but the French flyer eluded them all and stuck it past Mussa in the Atalanta goal.

The goal caused San Siro to erupt as it was Hernández's finish that wrapped up the result for the Rossoneri. After the 2-0 win at San Siro, which brought the Diavolo one step closer to the Scudetto, Hernández was voted as the MVP of AC Milan v Atalanta with over 50% of the votes (ahead of Kalulu, Leão and Kessie). Throughout the 90 minutes, Theo played 30 successful passes, made six recoveries, completed two dribbles, and had one shot blocked and one attempt off target. It was the perfect time to add to his tally of goal involvements, which now stands at five goals and ten assists this season. Well played!
