BlueCo have finalised a move for Brighton’s Julio Enciso and he will join Strasbourg immediately according to Fabrizio Romano.

An agreement was reached earlier this month, but there were reports Enciso would return to Brighton due to a knee issue.

The 21-year-old made 29 appearances in all competitions last season, and spent the second half of the campaign on loan at Ipswich.

BlueCo finalise Julio Enciso deal

The move for the attacking midfielder is certainly a surprise given the amount of options Chelsea have in his position, but the Blues reportedly see Enciso as an opportunity.

Enciso scored against Chelsea last season for Ipswich, and is clearly a player who has plenty of ability, despite his injury issues.

After doubts about whether the deal would go through following his medical, Romano has now provided an update on the situation.

He took to X.com and said:

“EXCLUSIVE: Julio Enciso deal has just been sealed by BlueCo group, here we go confirmed!

“€20m package agreed, medical now 100% completed as Enciso signs until June 2030.

“Understand Enciso joins Strasbourg immediately on permanent deal, with potential future at Chelsea.”

Enciso will be hoping to impress in France and earn himself a move to Chelsea in future, but he’s certainly an exciting acquisition for Strasbourg.

Chelsea to sign Facundo Buonanotte on loan

The Blues missed out on Xavi Simons, but have now completed a shock loan move for Brightons Facundo Buonanotte.

The Argentina international will join on a straight loan with no buy option and is set to provide cover on the right wing.

The 20-year-old scored six goals and registered three assists in 35 appearances during his loan spell at Leicester last season.

Buonanotte joined Brighton in January 2023 and has made 50 appearances for the Seagulls, and has dropped down the pecking order at The Amex.

Quite how much game time he’s going to get at Chelsea remains to be seen, but it’s hard to see him getting enough to develop as a player.
