Henry Martin is still recovering from an ankle injury he suffered during América’s Campeones de Campeones triumph and we now know when we could expect him back on the pitch.

In addition to missing the Leagues Cup match against Major League Soccer’s Houston Dynamo, Martin has also been ruled out of Saturday’s match against Club León – a re-match of the Clausura semi-finals.

If Martin gets enough rest and does not aggravate the injury in training, he may return for next Saturday’s match against Xolos.

The 26-year-old starred in the Clausura as he scored nine goals and added five assists in 25 competitive appearances across both Liga MX and Copa MX play.

Though many fans believe he should be the starting striker, his injury may have occurred at the worst time as both Roger Martinez and Nico Castillo combined for three of the team’s four goals in América’s season-opening victory over Rayados.
