Henry Martín announces he will renew his Ameríca contract

Though he may not have earned as many minutes as he would have liked during the 2019 Clausura season, Henry Martín revealed that he and the club are nearing an agreement over a contract extension.

Chivas and Rayados are both said to have bid for the forward but Martín has no desire to leave anytime soon.

“I am about to renew my contract with America. We are ironing out the last details and it would have to be some catastrophe for me to move.

“The desire and emotions that I have remain with America.”

The five-time Mexican international arrived from Xolos in January 2018 and has contributed 22 goals and 11 assists in 69 games with Las Aguilas.
