The wages that Inter would be paying Henrikh Mkhitaryan are higher than many initially reported, according to a report in the Italian media today.

As has been claimed by Corriere della Sera today, the Armenian would actually be set to earn €4 million per season on his two-year deal rather than the widely reported €3.5 million.

It is expected that an answer will arrive on Friday in relation to what the player is choosing to do with his future.

It is not impossible to imagine AS Roma keeping the midfielder because they are ready to raise their offer and match what Inter are prepared to give the former Manchester United man.

The 33-year-old has just helped the Giallorossi to their first-ever major European trophy as they lifted the Europe Conference League on Wednesday night.

It could leave a sour taste in the mouth of many AS Roma fans if the midfielder then leaves for Inter so soon.
