Across back-to-back victories, where we scored nine goals and maintained two clean sheets, our skilful winger recorded three assists.

Hemp set-up both of Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw’s strikes in our emphatic 5-0 win over West Ham at the Joie Stadium after Leila Ouahabi broke the deadlock inside the first minute.

Further goals from Laura Blindkilde Brown and Jess Park added the gloss to a fine afternoon in Manchester.

We then followed up our Hammers triumph with a battling 4-0 win over a valiant Bristol City side at Ashton Gate.

All four goals arrived after the interval and Hemp provided the assist for Mary Fowler’s second of the afternoon with a pinpoint cross that the Australia international expertly poked home.

An own goal followed by Alex Greenwood’s first of the campaign rubber-stamped the success as our relentless pursuit of a second-ever WSL title continued.

What’s more, the 23-year-old penned a contract extension with the Club in April – committing her future to City until 2027.

Hemp is in contention for the award alongside Spurs' Bethany England, Everton’s Sara Holmgaard, Arsenal’s Beth Mead and Alessia Russo and Aston Villa’s Sophia Poor.

Voting closes on Monday 6 May at 10:00 (UK) – choose Hempo for Player of the Month here.
