Hellas Verona wingback Davide Faraoni still has good memories of his time at Inter, particularly being at the club during the Treble-winning season in the 2009-10 campaign.

Speaking to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia before the Gialloblu’s Serie A match against Sampdoria, via FCInterNews, the 31-year-old gave his thoughts on current Blucerchiati coach Dejan Stankovic, who he was proud to have at one point played alongside.

There is something of a theme lower down in the Serie A table, with Treble-winning former Inter midfielders Stankovic and Thiago Motta both finding their feet in coaching with Sampdoria and Bologna respectively.

Meanwhile, former Nerazzurri coach Jose Mourinho is at Roma, whilst there are no shortage of players who had been part of Inter’s team at youth levels throughout the table.

Faraoni is one such player, and the 31-year-old still has positive memories of his time at the Nerazzurri.

“I only have great memories of my time at Inter, I feel fortunate to have been there for the Treble-winning season,” he said.

“I still remember Stankovic,” the wingback went on, “it was an honour to play alongside him and he had a real influence on me.”
