New Zealand international forward Katie Rood is to join Hearts following the expiration of her contract at Southampton.

The 29-year-old has 15 caps for her country and last season helped the Saints win promotion to the Barclays Women’s Championship, following a play-off win over Wolves.
In 2018 she helped Juventus win their first Serie A title, and has previously played in the UK for Lincoln Ladies, Bristol City and Lewes.
