Hearts v Celtic: team news, kick off time and where to watch
The Celtic Star
Celtic travel to Edinburgh this evening as Ange Postecoglou’s men look to rectify their opening day loss at Tynecastle and increase the pressure on leaders Rangers. A John Souttar goal was the difference in a controversy-laden meeting in July but Celtic have subsequently won the League Cup and League meetings at Paradise.
Postecoglou was handed a trio of blows at the weekend as Callum McGregor, Liel Abada and Guchi were forced from the side with injuries. The Israeli winger has managed to shake off a knock but the Celtic captain and January signing remain sidelined; although, it isn’t clear how long both will be out, with the manager remaining coy on the extent of the damage.
Daizen Maeda and Tom Rogic are unavalaible, having been called up by their National Teams for the inconvienent World Cup Qualifiers scheduled midway through an important run of fixtures.
Matt O’Riley could make his debut today as Postecoglou is forced to rely on his new recruits due to injuries. We expect team news within the next hour.
The game will kick off at 7:45 pm (Celtic Park time).
The game will be shown on Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Football with coverage from Gorgie Rd commencing at 7 pm.
