A win would also see Chelsea become the first club to win all three major European honours and could act as a catalyst for the squad to move onto bigger things.

Maresca didn’t know Mudryk would be at Conference League final

The Conference League might not be the most prestigious trophy, but it’s had a number of positives this season for the Blues.

Maresca has been able to hand youngsters their debut, as well as give regular minutes to players who aren’t featuring much in the league.

Mudryk, who’s currently suspended following a positive doping test had three goals and three assists in four Conference League games, with his last appearance for the Blues coming in the competition against Heidenheim at the end of November.

The 24-year-old has very much been out of the public spotlight, but he was spotted with fans in Wroclaw on Tuesday, despite it being unclear if Mudryk will play for the club again.

When asked about Mudryk being in Wroclaw Maresca seemed confused:

“To be honest, I just, I don’t know, he is here or is coming?” Maresca said.

“He is here? I don’t know. I am happy for Mischa to be here.,” he said as quoted by The Guardian.

It’s believed Mudryk is eligible for a medal, but it’s up to Chelsea whether he joins the on pitch celebrations or the club give it to him privately.

Chelsea face tough Real Betis test

Chelsea are likely to be considered favourites, but will face their toughest game of the competition against their La Liga counterparts.

Maresca isn’t happy Real Betis had 48 hours extra to prepare for the game, but it’s very difficult to tell how much of an advantage that will be.
