Forward Divock Origi started for Liverpool against Atalanta in the Champions League last night.

Unfortunately for Origi, he failed to have an impact on the game. The Belgian was substituted 60 minutes into the match.

After the game concluded, Twitter user @AnfieldRd96 tweeted that Origi should never play for Liverpool again.

As you can see below, some Liverpool supporters responded to the aforementioned post.

ANFIELD WATCH VERDICT

The aforementioned responses highlight that Origi was poor against Atalanta. Statistics also back up that argument.

Origi finished the match with a WhoScored player rating of 5.84. The striker did not register one shot against Atalanta.

Origi has only made the four appearances for Liverpool this season. That does suggest that his time at Anfield could be coming to an end.

If Origi does depart Liverpool in the not too distant future, we will still remember him as a player that contributed to the club’s success.

Origi has won four major honours with Liverpool. Origi scored in the 2019 Champions League final.

Origi’s goal meant that Liverpool defeated Tottenham Hotspur 2-0 in Madrid.
