Matias Soulé hasn’t scored in the last eight Serie A games and Frosinone coach Eusebio Di Francesco warns the Juventus loanee that he must not keep the ball for too long.

Soulé is having a stunning season with ten goals and two assists in 29 Serie A appearances with Frosinone, but the Argentinean winger hasn’t found the net since February 3, 2024.

The 20-year-old played 85 minutes in a 0-0 draw against Bologna on Sunday and was replaced in the final minutes by coach Di Francesco.

Sky Sport Italia asked EDF to explain what’s behind Soulé’s goal drought and the Italian tactician replied very honestly: “He must not be stubborn and constantly try to find that moment of magic. He must identify the right time in the games, but he’s improving,” he said.

“I’ll tell you something: when we play two or three-touch games in training, he gets angry and wants no limitations. This is to say how much he loves keeping the ball, but sometimes he needs to pass it quickly.”

Soulé is on loan at Frosinone from Juventus and will return to the Allianz Stadium at the end of the current campaign.

Despite a solid start to the season, Frosinone are currently in the relegation zone with 26 points in 31 matches. Their next league game is away at Napoli on April 14.
