Chelsea officially announced Garnacho on Saturday evening, with the 21-year-old signing a seven year contract at Stamford Bridge.

Alejandro Garnacho reveals who he spoke to before Chelsea move

Chelsea were first linked with Garnacho back in January, and those links continued throughout the entire summer window.

Garnacho made it clear he only wanted to join Chelsea, and turned down an approach from Bayern Munich and a club in the Saudi Pro League.

The Argentina international will link up with Enzo Fernandez at Stamford Bridge, with fellow Argentinian Facundo Buonanotte also set to join the club.

Garnacho did his first interview with Chelsea’s in house media and revealed who he spoke to before signing for the club.

“I spoke with Enzo [Fernandez] because he’s my friend from the national team,” he told Chelsea’s website.

“He can’t wait to have me there and to work together.”

Garnacho will have to wait until after the international break to make his debut, which could come in the London derby against Brentford.

Chelsea face busy final days of the window

With Garnacho announced and Buonanotte set to join, the Blues still have a busy end to the window in store, with a number of players they need to move on.
