Willy Caballero – 9

The Argentine veteran showed no signs of his rising age tonight, as he made multiple key saves over the course of the ninety. Did make one mistake in the first half but more than made up for it.

Cesar Azpilicueta – 8

The Spanish full-back came inches away from scoring in the tie and generally did a good job with the ball at his feet. Tried to get forward and support the attack on every possible opportunity.

Fikayo Tomori – 7

The Englishman played a flurry of loose passes in the first-half that the Blues were fortunate not to concede from. Moved the ball around with confidence at times and looked comfortable next to Silva.

Thiago Silva – 8

The Brazilian veteran showed the Chelsea fans exactly why Lampard brought him in. Apart from one mistake early on, he commanded the back-line in an excellent manner.

Emerson – 8

The Italian full-back played in two different positions over the course of the ninety but was effective for the most part. Bombarded forward at every instance and linked up well with the attackers.

Mateo Kovacic – 8

The Croatian didn’t have the most influential of outings in midfield as the tie was extremely end-to-end. Did slot in between the defenders and start attacks from the back at times though.

Ross Barkley – 8

The Englishman moved the ball around with great confidence in the middle of the park and took his goal in grand style as well. Did miss a sitter in the second half that he should’ve put away easily.

Mason Mount – 7.5

The Englishman had several good chances to get on the scoresheet but seemingly left his shooting boots at home. Looked a lot more comfortable operating in the midfield area though.

Kai Havertz – 10

The German starlet ran the show from his role in the Chelsea attack-line. His link-up play with Tammy Abraham was nothing short of sublime, and he also managed to bag his first ever professional hat-trick.

Callum Hudson-Odoi – 5

The speedster was undoubtedly the poorest player on the pitch over the ninety. Carelessly gave the ball away on multiple instances and never looked penetrative enough to cause problems.
