Stoke City were left frustrated as they fell to a 2-1 defeat at home to play-off chasing Cardiff City on Tuesday evening.
The Potters took the lead courtesy of a Sean Morrison own goal, and had a chance to double their lead from the penalty spot, but Sam Vokes saw his effort saved by Alex Smithies.
Stoke were made to rue that missed opportunity from the spot as Robert Glatzel equalised for the visitors with 34 minutes remaining of the match.
Morrison then made up for his own goal in the first-half, as he scored the winner for Cardiff, as they took an important three points back to Wales.
It was a frustrating night for Stoke, as this defeat saw the promotion-chasing sides around them close in after 17 matches of this year’s campaign.
Plenty of Stoke City supporters took to social media to aim their frustrations towards Vokes for his costly penalty miss.
