‘Has a great future’ – Barcelona superstar full of praise for Lamine Yamal | OneFootball

Speaking during an interview with Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona superstar Robert Lewandowski has lavished praise on breakout wonderkid Lamine Yamal.

It has been a special season for Lamine Yamal for he has been one of the few positives for the Blaugrana with his exciting displays.

Yamal has racked up a tally of seven goals and ten assists in all competitions this season and has struck up a partnership with Robert Lewandowski in attack.

In fact, it was the teenage sensation who assisted the veteran Pole for his opener against Rayo Vallecano this past weekend.

“Lamine has played very good football this season, he is a crack at only 16 years old,” said Lewandowski.

“Lamine has a great future. I have a connection with him. From the beginning of the season to now, I can say he has taken a step forward. I see a lot of things now that I didn’t see at the beginning, and not only for him, but also thinking about the team.”

Further discussing the youngster, Lewandowski added that the La Masia graduate still has a long time left in his career and that he can help the youngster with his experience.

“He wants to play 10, 12 or more years in football, I have experience and I want to help him with the mentality. And for the mentality now it is very important to have your feet on the ground thinking in the long term.”
