Bayern Munich number nine Harry Kane has been rewarded for his fine form, by being handed the Bundesliga player of the month award for the month of October.
In doing so, Kane fended off fellow nominees; Tim Kleindienst (Borussia Mönchengladbach), Tom Rothe (Union Berlin), Willi Orban (RB Leipzig), as well as Ritsu Doan and Vincenzo Grifo (both SC Freiburg).
During October, Kane scored six goals and provided a further assist in just four Bundesliga games, including a hat-trick in the 4-0 win over VfB Stuttgart.
Amazingly, this is his first player of the month award since joining Bayern Munich. Despite his 36 league goals last season, he was not awarded a single player of the month award, which feels crazy. It is the first time any Bayern Munich player has won the award, since Serge Gnabry did so in November of 2022 - a whole two years ago.
It is the first player of the month of any kind for Kane, since he won the Premier League player of the month in March of 2022 - despite scoring 30 goals in his final season at the club. So, in total - 66 league goals in two seasons - with no individual player of the month award to show for it.
For those that enjoy playing EAFC (formerly FIFA), Kane will have a 92 rated card for this award. His base stats read as; 72 pace, 95 shooting, 86 passing, 85 dribbling, 51 defending, and 86 physical. Beyond that, his card also has 96 positioning, 97 finishing, 96 shot power, 94 composure, and 90 strength.
To go along with this card, and his base card (90 rated), Kane also has a 91 rated team of the week, after the aforementioned hat-trick against Stuttgart, as well as a 91 rated Champions League road to the knockouts card, which will upgrade to a 92 card as long as Bayern score a goal in any of their four remaining games.
Well deserved, and about time.
