Harry Kane enjoyed a spectacular 2022-23 season as he notched 30 goals in 38 Premier League appearances.

The same thing cannot be said about his club Tottenham Hotspur who finished eighth to miss out on any form of European football next term.

With Spurs far off from competing for a major trophy in the near future, Kane is tipped to leave this summer.

Clubs outside England are reportedly interested in signing the 29-year-old but he wants to stay in the Premier League to break Alan Shearer’s record of 260 goals.

The striker is currently on 213 goals and only needs 47 more to equal Newcastle United’s all-time top scorer.

Kane should be able to reach that mark in the next two seasons if he stays fit.

Chairman Daniel Levy would rather sell him to a foreign club, but Kane wants to stay in the English top flight.

His most likely destination is Manchester United, who desperately want to sign a striker this summer.

If a deal fails to materialise, he is expected to stay at Tottenham for another year. If that is the case, then the experienced centre-forward could sign a pre-contract with a foreign club in January.

Whether he joins Man United or not, Kane is a good bet to break Shearer’s record to become the all-time Premier League top scorer.
