Harry Kane set to talk to Tottenham about his departure this summer

According to The Telegraph (Subscription Required) [h/t Daily Mail], Tottenham Hotspur forward Harry Kane is set to inform the club about his intentions of leaving the club this summer, with Manchester City keen on signing the striker.

With Manchester City in talks for a move for Aston Villa captain Jack Grealish, a move for Harry Kane could also be completed before the end of the summer transfer window. However, while City have tabled an offer of £100million for Grealish, the price tag for Kane remains a mystery as Tottenham rejected a £100million deal from City for Kane earlier this summer.

Kane, who won the Premier League Golden Boot award last season with 23 goals to his name also made the most assists in the league (14). He followed this up by captaining England to the final of the Euros this summer, post which the player left for his holidays.

Harry Kane is set to push for a move out of Tottenham Hotspur this summer.

However, Kane is now set to return to training on Monday, where he would make his ambitions of leaving Spurs clear to club owner Daniel Levy. Although Kane would like a move to City this summer, he might wait for the Citizens to sign Jack Grealish first, which in turn, could tempt Kane to join Pep Guardiola’s exciting project at City. Given Kane’s quality and might to score goals, Tottenham fans would not want to lose the player as it would be a massive task to replace his goal contributions and his place in the team.

Tottenham, who recently appointed new boss Nuno Espirito Santo earlier this summer, would understandably want Kane to remain at the club despite Manchester City’s continued interest in the player.
