Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane has admitted that he would love to someday be afforded the opportunity to line out alongside Barcelona icon Lionel Messi.
As part of a sit down with ESPN, frontman Kane was asked to name one player whom he would love to have as a teammate.
And the England international, as so many have before him, opted for the aforementioned Messi.
Citing the World Cup winner’s creative talents, and the no doubt prolific partnership the pair would share, Kane explained:
“I would love to play with Messi. He is one of the greatest players to ever play our game. I’m sure he’d be able to give me a few assists.”
"I'd love to play with Messi!" Imagine how many goals a Kane-Messi strike partnership would score 🤯–
Though he is of course not currently benefitting from the brilliance of Messi, Kane has nevertheless enjoyed a scintillating start to the new campaign.
All told, across his first 14 appearances in the colours of German heavyweights Bayern Munich, the 30-year-old has racked up a staggering 19 goals and seven assists.
