Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane has rejected the chance to join Bayern Munich this summer, according to Bild.

The attacker does not want to move to Germany and has reportedly set his heart on signing for Manchester United.

Kane will stay at Tottenham for one more season to see out his contract if they don’t let him join United this summer.

He wants to leave after yet another season without silverware.

The England captain is chasing Alan Shearer’s Premier League goalscoring record (26 goals).

His brace in the final league game of the season against Leeds United at Elland Road means he is only 47 adrift.

United want to sign Kane this summer. Manager Erik ten Hag is a big fan of the centre-forward and has told the club to secure his services.

Signing a striker is a priority heading into the summer transfer window, but United will be wary of negotiations with Spurs chairman Daniel Levy.

The British businessman ideally does not want to sell Kane to a Premier League rival.

The player’s price tag may be a major issue, with Levy likely to demand over £100 million.

There have been rumours of interest from Chelsea, but the Blues will be unable to persuade Levy to sell him to another London club.

Manchester City previously tried to sign him, but they successfully switched their attention to Erling Braut Haaland.

The Norwegian has been a revelation for City, and United are desperate to sign someone who can compete with him.

It is unclear where Kane’s immediate future lies, but it probably won’t be in Germany.
