Harry Kane has already equalled his longest losing streak at Tottenham Hotspur with Bayern Munich this season.

The former Tottenham star has made the headlines for all the wrong reasons in recent weeks.

Despite his exceptional goalscoring form since leaving north London, Bayern Munich’s chances of securing their twelfth consecutive Bundesliga title are quickly diminishing.

The reigning champions have lost their last three games in all competitions, leaving them eight points behind league leaders Bayer Leverkusen.

Harry Kane has netted just once in his last three appearances too and has now equalled an unwanted record in his first season at Bayern.

According to StatMuse, Kane’s longest losing streak in his 12-year spell at Spurs was a total of three games.

After defeats to Leverkusen, Lazio and VfL Bochum this month, he’s already equalled that at Bayern.

Kane ultimately left Hotspur Way over the summer in search of silverware and went to one place where it’s almost guaranteed. But that looks unlikely to be the case for the Englishman this season.

Thomas Tuchel will leave Bayern at the end of the campaign and it would take something quite remarkable for the German boss to deliver a Champions League title.

As for the Bundesliga, Xabi Alonso’s Leverkusen have shown no signs of slowing down and are yet to taste defeat in the league.

You have to sympathise with Kane at this point, despite the fact he decided to leave the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

After coming through the academy set-up in north London and going on to become the club’s all-time top goalscorer, he deserves major honours.

That is still likely to happen at Bayern but not many would have predicted the German giants to miss out on silverware altogether after landing a player of Kane’s calibre.

There is still time for a turnaround in the league but at this point, you’d have to say it looks likely that Kane will go another season without silverware.
