Harry Kane was replaced by Mathys Tel during Bayern Munich’s 3-3 draw against Eintracht Frankfurt on Saturday evening, but England’s top scorer has since been given the all-clear.
In a statement released by the Bundesliga side on Monday evening, the Rekordmeister confirmed that Kane ‘does not have any structural damage’ and will therefore remain with the England squad for their games against Greece and Finland on Thursday and Sunday.
The 31-year-old has 11 goal contributions (five goals and six assists) in six Bundesliga games this season but has struggled in his last two – failing to score in their draws against reigning champions Bayer Leverkusen, and Eintracht Frankfurt.
Despite Kane being given the all-clear, Dayot Upamecano has been replaced by Loïc Badé in the French national team, while Mathys Tel will also fail to feature for France’s U21 side. As reported earlier, the latter tore a ligament in his shoulder against Die Adler, and there is a belief that he will be unable to play a role against Stuttgart on matchday seven.
