It was inevitable, wasn’t it?
Harry Kane is facing a Premier League team tonight for the first time since joining Bayern Munich from Tottenham Hotspur in the summer and he has had his say on proceedings.
Seven minutes into the second half the 30-year-old scored in Bayern’s Champions League group stage opener against Manchester United.
Kane dispatched from the spot after a penalty had been given against Christian Eriksen for an alleged handball in the box.
Erik ten Hag’s side had pulled them back into the game moments earlier through Ramus Højlund’s first goal for the club after Bayern led at half-time thanks to strikes from Leroy Sané and Serge Gnabry.
But Kane has restored that two-goal advantage with a goal on his Champions League debut for the Bundesliga champions.
It was always going to happen.
