Harrison Reed urges Fulham players to stick to their philosophy ahead of Liverpool clash | OneFootball

Fulham midfielder Harrison Reed believes they must follow the philosophy that has made their season successful when they face Liverpool tomorrow.

They travel to Anfield for their Premier League clash, and the 28-year-old has urged his team to stick to their principles.

The Cottagers have secured their stay in the Premier League next term, but they will be hoping for a top-half finish after an impressive campaign.

While Fulham lost their last game against reigning Premier League champions Manchester City, they felt disappointed.

City were not at their best, and Fulham could have taken something from the game.

Reed believes they have maintained their principles for most of the campaign and will need to continue in the same vein against Liverpool.

He said (via Fulham’s official website): “I think it is something that we’ve done really well this season.

“We have not come away from our philosophy and our gameplan really. We have maintained that.

“I think that has stood us in good stead going into games because, when we cross that line, everybody understands their job.

“We want to be a front-foot, aggressive team, and we feel like we are at our best when we do that.”

Fulham brought that attitude for the reverse fixture in their first game of the season. Many people felt the Merseyside club would sweep the newly-promoted side away.

However, Fulham responded from two goals down to snatch a point from the game. Captain Aleksandar Mitrovic netted a brace to earn them the draw.

The talismanic striker will miss tomorrow’s game as he is serving his eight-game ban for pushing the match referee during their FA Cup tie with Manchester United.

Reed said they approached the August game with no fear after winning the Championship. They will need all that and more against Jurgen Klopp’s side tomorrow.
