Haris Belkebla (30) has finally been registered – officially – as an SCO Angers player after the Algerian international’s dispute with his former club was resolved.

Former Stade Brestois midfielder Belkebla arrived at newly-promoted Angers from Saudi Arabian side Ohod Club in mid-August, however, having arrived, he then proceeded to miss the two most recent Ligue 1 matches. The reason for his absence? A dispute with his former club over unpaid wages.

The complicated administrative situation that continued to link Belkebla and Ohod Club meant that the former could not be registered for Angers. However, L’Équipe understands that the issue has now been resolved, allowing the midfielder to feature for Angers when they face RC Strasbourg Alsace in Ligue 1 on Sunday.

It is a boost for SCO Angers, who following promotion from Ligue 2 last season, are yet to pick up a single point in their first three games. In that time, they have also scored just one goal.
